For seven years, people of all ages and ethnic backgrounds have learned how to make skulls
out of sugar, one of the traditional, cultural activities surrounding
El Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) and one of the key events to occur
in Petalumas celebration of this Latino festival.
During the mid-fall season, from October 14 to November 3, 2007, the city will be alive once again
with an entire range of events, including the traditional ofrendas (altars)
in many locations, bilingual story telling, instruction in traditional
sugar skull-making, fine arts exhibits, film, poetry and music celebrations
and much, much more. See the full schedule for the El Dia de los Muertos, Petaluma 2007 events below. |
